I've been collecting for some time, both PC and other. My indispensable
non-hardware DOS tools are
The Mueller books "Upgrading and Repairing Computers"
CMFiler, a Norton Commander-like shell program but with much more capabilities. I even use it today on Win 98
Check-it
Q-A Plus
Snooper
Modem Doctor
Agsi
Teledisk for transferring to most other computers.

What do others have that they regard as essential ?
