This was the greatest early RPG adventure game. There was no maiden to rescue or puzzle to solve - no clues to collect or any of that nonsense

It was a hole in the ground under the city of Ligne

where the really tough monsters were on the bottom of a ten layer maze

and you fought your way down - and back up again with treasure

Now here comes the trivia challenge... who can remember...

Spells, - Nargor (sleep thought), and Fiegor (Fire thought)... what else?

Hotels,

Guilds,

hardest early monsters ... berserkers

I used to play with no save - whatever happened happened.

After a bit of research, I found this:

Apparently the game was available for both the C64 and DOS. I have never played it though, and 1983 is rather late for being one of the earliest RPGs. However, I won't doubt it is a good game.
