Ive been given a cartridge for my VIC-20 to make it talk. Its based on the SP0256 chip. Board is a maplin GB17T

Does any one know any software that can make use of it? Ive written a BASIC program, and its proved the board still works. Made it say "Beer"....

This is a picture of it (not my actual board...)

We've been discussing those SP0256 based boards a number of times on the Denial VIC-20 (http://sleepingelephant.com/denial/) forum, and my conclusion is that there may be software for some designs, but although they use the same chip, they tend to be mapped differently and so on, so software is not widely interchangeable. Nice find though, I'm sure you can have a lot of fun with it if you spend some time.
