View Full Version : win95 complete tcp/ip suite?

I gave a friend of mine who has never owned a computer that Toshiba 486 that I got from that nice lady, and we're trying to get it online, but it has no tcp/ip installed on it and no disk to refer to. Is there an old upgrade for an early version of 95? I've been googling around and finding lots and lots of articles on how to install it, granted if you have the floppies or CD.

This is interesting. My friend that has this laptop has never owned a computer, ever. This is his first and I'm teaching him how to do the simplest things that I (and most of us I bet) take for granted. He was making a list of his video games (he's a gamer, console type) and was using this little notepad clone program to do it, but left off word wrap and never hit return the whole time.

I showed him some basic word processing with wordpad and how to organize his list entries better.

In this day and age, and he's never used a computer as intensively as he is this little laptop. Wow.

This helped! Definitely found some fixes there. I'm still in need of a complete copy of iexplore.exe. I can't find my win95 cd anywhere.

Just picked up a p133 machine, ditched at the flea market. This is what needs the iexplore.exe file. Still working on the laptop, too.
