Ok, this is a long shot as I can barely remember any details but here goes.

The first time I saw a PET 2001 would have been way back in 1981. It was in a shop. I stood in awe, not only from the incredibly high price tag and amazing appearence but also because of the graphics.

Playing on the screen was a demo program. This featured a kind of robot made up of Petscii characters. I can't even remember what the robot was doing...It did move around the screen doing various things but I can't remember anything more than that. But I DO remember thinking it was amazingly cool.

Does anyone know what this demo would have been. I'm sure it wasn't Android Nim, or any of the other common games I saw on any other platform. I've scoured the web for downloads. I found a site where someone had a lot of these early PET games for download, but it doesn't seem to be in there.

As I remember it wasn't actually a game. It was a screen-saver/demo (although it could have been a game with a demo component).

Anyway, once I get my Pet up and running, I'd like to get this program on it as a demo. I'd also like to see it again. Anyone have any idea of what it could have been?

No, that's not the one but thanks for looking for me.

Quite a few people seem to be showing off their vintage computers via utube these days.

Cheers
