Hi Everyone,

I have a working Ohio Scientific Challenger 1P that I modified years ago to increase the video ram and scan rate. There was a simple software patch that I had to poke in to make it work. I've long since lost the patch, and I'm looking for someone who can help me find a source or re-generate it. Any help would be appreciated.

Norm,

No promises, but I've heard of this and will look for it.

Vince Briel and I also have OSI C1P's. We're agitating for an OSI section on the board...

Well, mine is a superboard II but same thing minus the case. Yes, that would be great, there are a lot out there. There just needs to be enough posts to justify its own cat.

When I got mine, first thing I did was attach a serial connection to it. It already had the components for serial, so it was a no brainer. Slow, but effective way to send data.

Norm,

I found this, I'm not sure if it applies to your video mod:

http://home.cmaaccess.com/~jerrytravis/Progressive/32CHAR_SCREEN_DRIVER.BAS

It's a BASIC program that pokes machine language into some RAM area, and no doubt patches the video call.

It came from this page: http://home.cmaaccess.com/~jerrytravis/

Let me know if this works, if not, I'll keep digging.
