Can anyone help me identify the following soundcard.

It seems like a 16-bit isa that only use the 8-bit isa card.

Could the daughtercard be memory or wavetable extension?

Probably a wavetable add-on. Would have to see the other side to know for sure if it is realy an 8 bit card, probably not.

Looks like a common Crystal chip set, probably an FM type sound card. Yes, the add on card is probably a Wavetable upgrade (i.e. upgrades the common FM card to a wave table type card). If you don't see any company names on the card, it's probably a generic knock off of something common - probably Sound Blaster compatible. You might check Crystal Semiconductor's web site. They may have generic information and drivers for the chip set that may tell you more.
