Hi
I've just uncovered my old BBC B and am wanting to do some hardware projects on it. I wouild like to make a weather station and controll/log data on the BBC. Has anyone done anything similar? Got any tips?

I remember there being an article in Electron User about building one back in the 80s but I can't get hold of it online.

Your best bet is to scour Ebay for books on BBC micro interfacing. I've picked up some good ones very cheap. There are two 6522 VIA's in a beeb. One of them has its port 'B' available for interfacing. You use commands something like PRINT"&FE60" etc to write to the port and setup the DDR on the 6522.
Most interfacing books are loaded with BASIC program listings and interesting projects for the user port and analogue port.

Next time I'm in my workshop, I'll dig out a few books and get you the ISBN numbers, etc. Maybe you can search for an old copy.
