I have a Colorado 350 tape drive, and am looking for some way to use it with Ubuntu 8.10 (soon to be 9.whatever). Am also looking for some tapes to go in it. Got this in a garage sale with three other computers, two unidentifyable, one with an Asus P3B-F (PIII, pretty OT here ;-) ).

Any ideas?

PS. Mods, please move this thread where you feel that it would fit best, because I didn't know. Then, please delete this message, because it makes me look weird.

Floppytapes generally bring a sense of revulsion to me as they're a wonderful way to waste your time.

However there's a floppytape Linux project. (http://www.ftape.dot-heine.de/). Looks like it hasn't been touched since 2003.

DC2120 or 2120XL tapes are widely available on eBay and can even be purchased new.

Ubuntu still appears to support ftape, so all you need to do is install the package.
