In an issue of Byte, 9/83 I'm thinking but don't quote me, there was a review of the IIe, and one phote showed the original prototype mobo and another board which simulated the function of yet to be highly integrated ic's, though with discreet logic. Is any info available on that original board (like possibly a schematic)? I know it's a long shot, but judging by the material I saw reprinted in "Insanely Great" - scraps of paper, etc., I would imagine most everything having to do with the development of the Apples was preserved. Thanks in advance.

I believe the original Apple II enhancement Project ended up being balled the Super II (for the originial motherboard. If that's the case, then this might prove informative to you :-).

Although it doesn't have a schematic, it has what seems to be a good chip description and such :-)
