View Full Version : Seeking Info on 1980's IBC Multiuser Micro

I used to maintain and program two IBC multiuser micros from 1984 to 1991. They had these characteristics:

Ran Theos (Oasis) operating system
Supported 10 dumb terminals or printers
Each terminal was connected to a plug in card with a Z80 and 64K of ram
The backplane of the machine connected the 10 cards to two 40 mbyte drives
The machine was configured in a tower
Programming was in Theos Basic
We ran a proprietary manufacturing MRP and inventory package called MTRAC

I am looking for pictures of that machine, and other info if anyone has something - especially history of the IBC company or of MTRAC.

I guess you already have seen the (little) info on Wikipedia:

It seems that THEOS Software Corporation is still around:

Thanks, Tingo. From what I can tell Theos still exists apparently. What I am looking for primarily is info on the IBC hardware that ran Theos. IBC stood for Integrated Business Computers. A Google search came up with some press releases in 1998-9 about IBC, but the web link the article gives (www.ibc.com) now points to International Bankshares Corp. There is nothing about their products that I can find.

I have emailed Theos to see if anyone there remembers IBC.
