I have a Kaypro New 2 system. Of course I do not have the system disc to boot her up. Does anyone here have a disc they can send me that is compatible with my system, know of a download place (Dave's Computers did not have one for the 2), or know of a place where I could find one?

Have you tried a Kaypro 2X boot disk? AFAIK, the 2x and the New 2 were very close internally.

I don't believe I had. Where can I get it? Thanks!

PM me with your email and I'll send you a TeleDisk image.

I should be able to create the disc using a 360k disc on an IBM AT correct? I usually transfer the data to a 3.5 disc on a modern PC, insert that into the IBM AT, and then copy the 3.5 disc data onto a 5.25 disc.

I got her to boot! Thanks a lot. I think B drive needs to be cleaned because I can't read any disc from it or format a disc using the dutil.com from the CP/M system disc.

I too need a boot disk for a Kaypro "New 2". Can somebody help me with that?

I tried many times to make a boot disk, writing Kaypro disk images with a Compaq Portable III, but none of them worked. (probably wrong drive speed/density or something) It's damn frustrating. I've got Kaypro II boot disks and software, but can't use them for my Kaypro "New 2".

I'll pay if somebody can mail me some working disks.

(you can see some Kaypro pictures in my signature link)
