Okay, just noticed this auction on ebay, auction number 5214547250.

Curious thing about this particular Vixen, other than there's not a whole lot of them out there, is one of the floppy drives appears to have been removed and a hard drive dropped in its place.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this sort of mod?

I just got a reply from the people running the auction. Aaron Wille or Action Computers, Inc. states he BELIEVES it's a hard drive as it sounds like one when the computer starts up. He doesn't know the size, etc., etc., etc.

OTOH, the hard drive in my Amiga sounds like a bandsaw, and I'm absolute positive that I didn't install one of those. :?

IIRC, the Vixen was thier IBM-compatible offering. If that's the case, then mebbe a hdd isn't out of the question?

EDIT: Nope, I guess not. The 10Mb hard drive was available as an option tho, according to this webpage:
