Found a Mac Plus and a Classic II for sale and I'd like to get opinions on the two systems before I try and buy anything.

Try reading up on them at Low End Mac (http://www.lowendmac.com/). Their Profiles (http://www.lowendmac.com/profiles.htm) section lists the specs of all Macs and have some Mac models listed as "Road Apples" that should be avoided. Some people like the road apples due to their deficiencies.

I have an original Classic that I enjoy. The Plus is an older model than the Classic II. The SE/30 is usually considered the best compact Mac. It is the most upgradeable, fastest of the B&W compacts, and this is usually seen in their prices, which are usually over $100-150.

What kind of questions do you have about them?

The main one is, can I stick 720KB floppy disks in hte drive and format them as Mac disks or do I have to buy Mac disks?

mac plus should be 720K the Classic II has a superdrive and can use DD or HD 1.44 disks. The only difference between a mac disk and pc disk is the format (you can format a pc disk as mac and a mac as pc).
