Wow, I now want one of these very badly.

Only 10 completely clear ones were ever made!

Wow, now that is rare. (If I saw one of those on eBay, I wouldn't even mind if the seller put a stupid "L@@K" in the description)

It looks like inspiration for the original iMac.

Apple did that fairly often. There have been quite a few clear Mac prototypes of various kinds on eBay from time to time. They did it at least through the "Lombard" PowerBook G3 (http://www.applefritter.com/node/2763). (Kind of hard to do a clear Titanium PowerBook, and the desktops had become clear by then. Although since an Apple was involved in the creation of transparent Aluminum (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Transparent_aluminum), the newer models might do it. :-P )

Someone was selling one of those on Craigslist in my area. Of all the times I wish I had an extra thousand buckaroos. :(

Remember seeing a transparent Image Writer II (and probably another SE) in WeirdStuff some month(s) ago. Didn't see them last time I went by (a month ago) Wonder if they just moved them or did they actually sold them.

I always asked if I could buy them, and they said they weren't for sale. They disappeared after their "Black Friday" sale, where they sold some of their "museum" pieces. Or so someone told me.

Speaking of weird Apple protos, does anybody know of black Mac+ with "ae" marks?

I wouldn't mind having one of them! Does anyone know what models had clear prototypes made?
