I'm trying to track down some Light Pen software for the C-64 (and maybe the Vic-20) and the net has been less than fruitful in tracking down software titles. Does anyone have a list of what was available for the light pen (or even a few software titles)? Childrens programs would be fantastic.

The reason being is that I'm going to hack a Sega light phaser for use on the C-64 instead of a light pen.

Ah, no responses (not surprising). After seeing how skimpy the software is for the light pen, I didn't really expect any. Regardless, I'm going to post some of the stuff I've found so any future lookers will find some of the information.

Stand-alone light pen software is rare to non-existent. Light pen software is pretty much only found when you purchase a light pen. Thus if you already own a light pen and want more software, you need to buy another brand of light pen so you can acquire the included software. Pretty dumb.

Most light pen software seems to be drawing software. There is also a piece of CAD software (CAD-Master) and GEOS also supports a light pen. Here's what I've found for software included with a Light Pen:

- Madison Computer McPen (hangman & tictactoe)
- Inkwell Systems Flexidraw (follow me, piano keyboard)
- Koala (drawing software)
- Trojan (drawing software)

For anyone who wants to convert their light gun to work on the C-64, there's some nice info here along with a couple pieces of software for testing:

I haven't actually got around to hooking the thing up - that's a project for this weekend. I'll try and do a Youtube video once I've got it all working :)
