Hi all,

my dad gave me my old pc and I tried to get it running again... so far with no success. The harddisk (it was built in some years later) seems to be dead and the keyboard doesn't work. So I bought another keyboard to check if the keyboard is dead or something else is the error.

The "new" keyboard doesn't work either, so it seems that there is another think "broken". Does anyone of you have any clue, what it could be, or how could I make a check or getting it work?

The Basic is loading by default but I cannot make any input so far :(

Did you maybe use a PS/2 or AT keyboard? These won't work.

If you have a switchable AT keyboard it should work but you must change the switch to X or XT first. Look on the bottom or side of the keyboard for a switch.
