View Full Version : Lotus 1-2-3 copy protection

I imagine this subject has been beat to a damp spot the size and shape of a horse, but I couldn't find it with search. I just got a set of disks for Lotus 1-2-3, versions 1A and 2.01, and the manual for 1A. The other manual is on the way. The 1A manual doesn't say anything about transferring the the program back to the original disk (I remember having the program before, probably a later version, and you could do that). I'm wondering if I've got any options for using it without running the program from the original floppy or the "System Backup" floppy. Could somebody take me through it?

FWIW, 1-2-3 was the benchmark for testing protection-defeating software. CopyIIPC and CopyWrite should be able to handle it.

I have COPYIIPC which includes a list of programs it copies and it says it can make copies of
Lotus 123 1.0 , 1-A , 2.0
