I was informed today (by my friend Chris, the semi-professional musician, who ought to know about these things), that I drive a "reggae truck." He says that my truck is to vehicles in general, what reggae is to music...
Hmmmmnn...wonder what he meant by that?

It's an '84 S-10, V-6, auto, flat-rack, but the ass-end has been beefed to about 6000 lbs, lowered gearing, and the tranny has a shift-kit installed. Somebody set the thing up for some serious hauling in a past life.
"Reggae truck" puts me in mind of those tri-cycle-with-a-back-seat-taxi thinggies they run around in in Jamaica, mon.

most of your car stuff went over my head, as i am naive to cars.

reggae truck sounds like a good name for a band.

Just your basic 21-year-old refugee from the boneyard:

Well, what did you expect a hundred-dollar truck would look like?

P.S. I'm officially naming it "The Great White Wailer," in rememberance of both Bob Marley, and Hunter S. Thompson.

those are fun trucks.

We had a couple of the GMC versions at work that we sheat the bit out of.

You know, if you put it in "1" and hit the gas it will eventually shift into second. ;)

and Midland, MI has a city forrest that's great for short off road adventures :)

When I told Chris the truck's new name, he laughed and said that it sounds like a song title. In fact, he said, it is a title, and he is going to write the song to go with it. This could be his big break...

BTW, I've officially christened it, by pouring a bottle of beer over the hood (I would've broke the bottle, but I didn't feel like cleaning up the glass).
