View Full Version : Looking for some stuff

I just got a bunch of old stuff from my mother's garage and found my old Amiga 500.

There were a few games I had enjoyed so I've decided to set it up in my daughter's room, give her something to play with and I can play the odd game too (Populous and Nuclear War).

Anyway I also liked Scorched Earth on my friends computer but it needs 1 meg chip ram, so I need a Fat Agnus chip for this 500. Does anyone have any idea where I can get it?

And while we're at that, is it possible to get any kind of modern mouse for these?

Thanks

I have several -19's. Not sure if it would work in an A500.

what's a -19, a mouse?

As far as I know the mice are universal..

Maybe he refers to Gary, 5719? It handles I/O addressing from Agnus, if I'm not mistaken. Not sure if that chip has to be handled if you update to a Fat Agnus.

If anyone had bothered to read the reply subject, I was referencing the Agnus chip. The original request was a 1 meg Agnus, and my reply was that I have some -19's. But, in retrospect, only the -17 would probably work.

Aha, sorry. I was not familiar with the revision numbers, and a Google search for a partitial number yielded few hits. The subject line within every message is not very outstanding. Had you on the other hand written 318069-19 (or Agnus) in the main message, it had been self explanatory.
