Is the story about the picture of a roadrunner etched on the BDV-11 (http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/academic/computer-science/history/pdp-11/bootstraps/bdv11.txt) true and does anyone have an image of it?

Don't know, but I have one or two BDV-11 at home. I could take a look.

I've checked the BDV-11 that is in my PDP-11/23 and I can't find anything like what is described in the post. Notice that I have the M8012-YA revision. I think there are revisions numbered M8012 (with out the -YA) which might be different.

I'm however glad that I pulled the card out of my PDP-11/23 because I found a damaged line on the backside which might explain why the machine has refused to boot. Something good might have come of the little bird, if it exists :D

oh, and loose the avatar.. rather provocative.
