I'm not connected to the seller, but spotted two super nice, loaded 11/53s in rack mount BA23s in Greenville SC area $100. Google it: craigslist greenville pdp 11.

What are the double-wide bulkheads with 3 connectors?

That is a good question. This is not any dec option that I recognize. I think the post said these were used in some kind of process control application, so they are likely connections to some I/O system. I would love to see under that back cover.

Everything else I recognize. Two nice RD31s can be seen from the front, so you know it has an RQDX3 in there. And in the back you can see the AUI connector next to the fuseholder, so there's a DELQA. These are really sweet. I wish I lived down there because the price is a steal.

There should also be either a DZV11 or a DZQ11 in there to go with the four port serial bulkhead connectors. Nice complete systems for someone to pick up. Too bad they are too far away from me (but not that I really need more systems...)

I attempted to reach the seller, as I have relatives in the area, but no luck.
As I really only want one of them, I could split this with someone if I am successful in getting them.

Here's one of the 11/53's - both are set up the same way - http://tinyurl.com/4euy4m9. Hope to get it online (as in Internet) before too long.

Works for me, even from your quote/reply, but you can try this instead - https://picasaweb.google.com/jack99rubin/20110304PDP11_53?authkey=Gv1sRgCMGg7ZTbwcqn0AE&feat=email#

Jack,

Did you drive down there, or have them shipped to Chicagoland? If the latter, I'm curious what shipping costs for that much iron.

I'm betting he's a driv'n fool. [...just like me]

I'm a driv'n fool but I don't fool with Mother Nature, especially with a winter like this. I used Craters & Freighters who went to the seller's site, picked up and crated everything and then shipped by truck to me at work in Chicago (362 lbs x 725 miles) for $500. I've used C&F before for other moves - they do a great job, building a custom crate with bubble wrap, hard foam and multi-core corrugated all strapped to a pallet to protect the contents.

I figured gas alone would cost me $350-400 plus motel and food would put me over the cost to ship and I would lose 2-3 days in the process, so all-in-all not a bad deal, plus nothing to explain to my wife (priceless). For at least the short term, the systems will stay here in my datacenter where they will go unnoticed by anyone else. Once remote TTY is setup, it won't matter!

The seller was willing (and able) to remove the drives and pack them separately in bubble wrap in a secure carton before pickup. C&F then included the carton in their overall wrap before palletizing the shipment. I'm sure that went a long way to making boot up possible on at least one set of drives. The other hangs on DU0: but if it's set up like the one that's working, it may actually want to boot off DU1:, so I'm still optimistic that once I check things out further, it may also come up.
