I finally got around to working on this.

I have posted more photos and tips for setting up the system, if you have a "rigid" disk, here:

Anyone else have one of these?

Yes - I also have one.. but the monitor=cpu case got damaged during shipping; gladly it still goes on.. but I have not played with it some months. It came with a lot of software.. I did not check if the old 8inch disks read.. so far.

Yes, I have and 820 but I believe it is the model I, not a model II. It has 2 - 8" floppies and no hard drive. Like alker, I haven't played with it in a while.

I've got two PCBs, one bare, one populated with a few damaged connector pins.

They're not high on my to-do list at present, I'm afraid. They're in line after a BBI, two Kaypros, and a BBII. The CompuPro will probably also come first (an 8/16 board based system. Cards look good. Motherboard may need work, power supply needs serious work and I'd as soon replace it with a switcher anyway.)

I've an 820 II, minus keyboard unfortunately (so if anyone has one lying around......) it was the first vintage computer I bought & the second one I fixed. The seller came back to me about a year later with the twin 8" floppies, but definitely no keyboard :-(> Nice chap!

Yep, have an 820-II also. Yours looks just like my beast... and that drive case is just as heavy as it looks too. Thought I was going to have to reinforce my kitchen table when I set it up there. :D

P.S. Thanks for the link to the disk setup instructions, etc. That will come in handy when I go to boot this thing the first time. ;)
