I used to run MP/M on an early PC. I have downloaded the MP/M-86 stuff but I can not see how to create a bootable disk. I would like to get MP/M running again just for fun. Any ideas?

Thanks, Andy

When you say "PC" do you mean "IBM PC" or some other platform? MP/M-86 was used on x86 platforms; MP/M or MP/M II used on 8-bit (e.g. 8080, Z80) platforms.

I assume that you found the files on Gaby's Z80.de site--none of the files that I'm aware of work on an IBM PC--the x86 binaries are all used on Godbout Compupro gear--there may also be some for Altos there.

So if you want to run this on an x86-based platform, your best bet is to find someone with a working set of floppies who can ship you a binary. Otherwise, you have some programming to do.
