The HP paper tape reader I picked up uses a connector like this:

Does anyone have the mating male version and/or know the proper name for it?

Looks a lot like the MRAC-34 connector used for V.35, but it's got more pins. MRAC-50?

Here's something like it on eBay - no pins though.

Ya looks like a Winchester MRAC 50.

You might have seen these already but here are some docs for that unit - looks like a 2748B.

The first few seem to have the info you need. Specifically, the third doc (Operating and Service Manual) has the pin-out info as well.

Yes, it appears to be an MRAC50, so you'd need an MRAC50P to mate.

Here's the datasheet (http://catalog.cdmelectronics.com/Asset/MRAC%20PDF%20SPECS.pdf)

...Does anyone have the mating male version and/or know the proper name for it?Looks like a Winchester MRE-50P, but could be MRA, MRAC, etc.

Check pin sizes and dimensions:

Positronic GMCT50:

Could also be a Burndy or Souriau MS50P.

What does the fine print on the connector say?

I'll have a look in my pile; I have females like yours, but don't know if I have a 50-pin male.
