Does any of the Atari 8-bit family (130XE, 65XE, 800XL, 600XL, 1200XL, or 800/400 series) have S-video hook-up connectors on the back for hooking up to a TV set with S-Video connector on the back?

Thank you

Not directly. I believe except for the 1200XL, all models with the 5-pin DIN video output jack provide luma/chroma outputs, which can be used with a custom adapter cable (available on eBay) to give you S-video output.

So, from memory:
400, 600XL - RF only
1200XL - RF, composite (5-pin DIN)
800, 800XL, 65XE, 130XE - RF, composite, luma/chroma (5-pin DIN)
XE Game System - RF, composite (RCA jacks)

But note that some games such as Lode Runner take advantage of composite video "artifacting" to generate colors in hi-res (320x192) mode, so if you play these games on a monitor using S-video or luma/chroma, you may not get the correct colors on the screen.
