Not mine but I thought this was an interesting listing on ebay for a Mac SE/30 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-Macintosh-Mac-SE30-SE-30-SE-30-New-sealed-box-NOS-New-Old-Stock-/260941788773?_trksid=p5197.m1374&_trkparms=algo%3DPI.WATCH%26otn%3D8%26po%3DLCA%26p s%3D63%26clkid%3D5977889703996863802)
Seems like a high starting price but who knows?

Did these ship with the battery installed? Probably leaked by now.

Of course. The battery is mounted on the logic board on an SE/30, not in the back like a Plus or earlier. You have to disassemble it to change the battery. It's a lithium battery, so less likely to leak, but I've still seen some do nasty things.

Another common problem on SE/30's are the electrolytic capacitors on the motherboard. They're surface mount, and tend to leak their electrolyte. Not hard to fix provided they haven't corroded the board yet.

But still, the battery/cap problems are going to be present on pretty much SE/30 you find. This one will be nice and shiny with a perfectly clean, bright, unburned picture tube, an unyellowed case, etc. The listing price is pretty optimistic though. Heh.

Whoever buys this would likely never open it. Functionality doesn't really matter much in these cases, IMHO. That yellowed packing tape does...

maybe the guy would buy it just to do a unboxing video like that last factory sealed //c (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCiKN5-AO_w) ...
