Plotting a circle the Hard way (in GWBASIC) (http://www.vintage-computer.com/vcforum/showthread.php?t=606)

Good to see some ol' favourites of mine are getting viewed at
heaps - quite suprisingly actually - since I vagerly recall
plotting circles in GWBASIC in quite an unusual style (as
opposed to using the Circle command in it! ;-)

Keep in mind that many of those "views" aren't by human eyes.

The bots seem to love these forums. . .

Well, as far as I know, Googlebot and MSN bot only reindex something if it has changed, its still the same, It passes over it. I don't know about the functionality of Yahoo Slurp! though.... I have seen a few Search Spiders from Japan here, and one or two Spiders that errored out here at the forum.

OK, as of this post, there are 3 Search Spiders here. I have seen up to 6 Googlebots here at one time, and thats not counting the MSN bot and Yahoo Slurp that was here as well. Sometimes if there is an excessive amount of "Guests" They are usually Googlebots doing their indexing thing. (Googlebot, aww isn't it cute? :) )

Figuritively speaking then, I guess these bots are wizing
around in Circles. But that kinda defeats the purpose of how
many people have viewed something - when your bots are doin'
the yards as well.

Just suppose someone uses google to search for Circles+GW-
BASIC, which pulls up that thread in this forum. Is that
counted as a view? And then they come into view it - again
that's another view. I've seen numerous Guests come in & view
that particular thread (in the Who's Online), so I guess
that's where the numbers have stacked up?

The search result isn't a view - only the click to the site.
