See You There!
Got this in the email last week. Date's not mentioned, but if you click on the Eventbrite link it shows the dates as Aug 4-5.

I've been to both of the previous shows and am planning on hitting this one also.

So, you've gotten a couple of months heads up, so hope to see everyone there. Or at least those withing a reasonable driving distance. Since I'm in Amarillo, 5-6 hours driving time away, I have a fairly liberal idea of "reasonable!"

Looking forward to it! Haven't signed up yet but I do plan to have a table again (last year it ended up being 3 tables accidentally so I'll have to plan a little better lol). Glad he's considering consignment sales. One of the best perks I love is finding vintage gear for sales at any of these events. How better to promote the hobby by getting new folks some gear :-)

Well, due to work obligations, I will not be exhibiting this year.

Hopefully I will be able to attend on Saturday.

Bummer...

One bright spot about not exhibiting this year, I will be able to make the First Saturday Under the Bridge show!

Some consolation at least.

Bummer dude but you'll have to let us know how that is :-) Take some pictures for me.. actually.. hm I might be there that night too so maybe I'll try to talk the wife into swinging by there. BTW, if you were hoping to sell something let me know or they (VCF proper) can probably do a consignment type of sale. I'm still estimating size on what to bring but may have some little swag things and was debating the stuff under the table sale technique but I haven't gotten too many of my "extras" working yet so that may not happen.

Glad someone did bring it up though, IT'S THIS WEEKEND FOLKS! :-)

Gil mentioned consignment and I'll probably do that. Hopefully it'll all sell so I won't have to drag it back!

I'll be putting a TI PEB with a full set of cards (less Pascal), Disk manager cart, EX BASIC, extended interface cable along with the original cable and a full set of manuals on the consignment table.

Will also have some misc stuff there as well.

Curtis

I don't really consider Texas the southwest, but that's just me.

Nor do I but for whatever reason it was named that. Lots of them don't make much sense though, midwest to me isn't anywhere near Chicago either. Not sure if there was a dispute on just saying South or what. It was actually just VCF South at first.

Had a great time! Thanks to everyone who came and good seeing a lot of the same folks who attended again as well! Anyone have any personal highlights from this year?

I enjoyed seeing everyone as well. I'm bummed I didn't get a chance to chat with Curtis since he was in & out so fast.

That said, though, it was great that some of the original Tandy design engineers came through and talked with me about some of my favorite old Tandy/TRS-80 systems. Also, I had the opportunity to debug my minor issues with the Liber809 project (brings a 6809 to the Atari 8-bit computers) with the creator of the project.
