Hosted by the Atlanta Historical Computing Society, it is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Atlanta, Georgia area (probably north of the "perimeter"). More info to come!

Awesome news! Good luck and definitely keep us posted :-) Depending on if you're doing a lot of lectures, talks, classes, etc consider recording them for future use, download, or sales.

Hi Everyone,

Here's the main overview information for the VCFSE landing page at vintage.org:

Vintage Computer Festival Southeast 1.0
February 9, Kings Market Shopping Center, Roswell, GA

The first ever Vintage Computer Festival Southeast will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the greater Atlanta area, at the Kings Market Shopping Center (in the former CompUSA), 1425 Market Blvd., Roswell, GA.

The event runs from 10 AM to 7 PM. Admission is just $5 for adults, children 17 and younger are admitted free of charge. Parking is free.

The VCFSE is presented by the Computer Museum of America and the Atlanta Historical Computing Society.

This is a consolidated show, with the exhibit hall and marketplace running all day - plus retro gaming stations! There will also be a workshop, vendors, consignment, a book sale, prizes, food, a museum tour (Sunday morning) and more.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday, February 8, 2013 –

6 PM – 9 PM: Setup and group dinner out

Saturday, February 9, 2013 –

10 AM: Show opens.

11:30 AM – Noon: Welcome message and talk by Lonnie Mimms, Curator of the Computer Museum of America.

Noon – 2 PM: Vintage computer kit building (lead by TBA)

2 PM – 4 PM: Presentations (30 minutes each)

4 PM – 5 PM: Keynote presentation

5 PM – 6:30 PM: Open show time

6:30 PM – 7 PM: Prize drawings & awards for top exhibits

Sunday, February 10, 2013 –

10 AM – Noon: Tour of the Computer Museum of America

Noon – 2 PM: Extra take down time for the exhibit hall and marketplace

Don't know, I might be able to take friday off. Maybe a pet or 2 and a c65 (non working).

Update: the VCFSE is being pushed back a little, to add more time for preparation. The date is still TBA right now, but I hope for us to have decided by end of the month or early January. We're planning for sometime late March or early April, and that date will be firm.

Vintage Computer Festival Southeast - a public celebration of computer history and nostalgia - will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 9:30am - 7:30pm & Sunday, April 21st from 9:30am - 5:30pm.

Wonderful festival! We attended the festival, That was full of knowledge and enjoyment. We attend a lot of lectures, talks and classes. We were consider recording them for future use.

I reported it (probably amongst many) earlier too. On the bright side, how many times do you get to miss a convention then have it happen again? It's like VCFSE 2.0 for dabone ;-) BTW, please take a bunch of pictures for those of us who can't attend :-D I'd love to see the setup and Lonnie's collection (yeah ok I said that before but it really should be impressive by some of the items he's won).
