View Full Version : Writing 8-bit ATR images to floppy in an IBM PC

Virtually all games and most all software for the Atari 8-bit machines use an FM encoding scheme to obtain 90K per side. The original controllers for the PC use an NEC765 or Intel 8272, which can write FM or MFM. Is there any software that can utilize this functionality to write ATR images to disk? Of course, flippy disks would not be supported, only one side would be usable on a disk written in a double-sided PC floppy drive.
