Hello,

I have a IBM 8088 computer. It worked great last week,untill this past weekend i turn it on and it says "keyboard bad". I've used a different keyboard but it still says it. When i use the keyboard i get different letters and numbers then what im pushing. I'm not good with computers,but i am good with directions,any help would be great!

Have you tried wiggling the connector?
Sometimes they get corroded. Remember, only an XT keyboard will work with that properly. AT keyboards wont work. Maybe the cable is bad?
All the other options are bad, so we wont discuss them.

Yes,I've tried wiggling the wire and still get the samething. When i turn the computer on even without the keyboard hooked it still says "keyboard bad".

After taking the cover off i see no sticker that says 8088 or even close.

The model number i got was LYP 150X,does this mean anything to anyone?

Please help:confused:

What other computers are interchangeable with this one?

What model is stated on the rear sticker?
