I recently purchased a later 1987 Snow White Mac Plus. It's in great condition with little sun fading and seems to have lived a life in storage most of its years. The display on it used to flicker a lot, but tapping the CRT or tapping the left side of it would bring it back on. Recently, the display hasn't been coming on at all, and tapping it doesn't do anything. I opened it up and all the cables are in firmly. Is it done for or can it be fixed?

Probably cracked solder joints on the analog board. That's par for the course on those things, and is (usually) an easy fix. In fact, I just did the same repair to my newly-acquired SE this afternoon. Most often it's the joints on the flyback transformer and/or the multi-pin connectors, but I'd recommend checking over the whole board, and reflow any joint that looks at all suspect.

I'll assume since you've already been messing around inside it that you're aware of the dangers of working on CRT equipment, right?

Excellent, it sure beats trying to hunt down another Plus on eBay!
