While these systems are certainly old, they are hardly vintage. . .

If I where you, I'd just give up on the CRT's, because I can guarantee shipping will be more than $30, probobly around $50!

That's a little pricey for P3 systems, at least for a 650 MHz P3. I could see those prices if they were maybe in the 933 on up range, but not for a 500, and 650. They probably aren't even a name brand, that right there lowers there value even more.

I dunno, what's a legal copy of XP go for these days? That's gotta be at least half the value.

Isn't that the purpose of this forum? (Or did you move the thread?)

I think Home ed is $100.

Also, this is a forum in which complete computer systems are given away for free! I got a free 1GHz CPU here! I have a similar machine built out of parts I found laying around my houses (my parents are divorced).

If you think it's tooo much, feel free to make an offer. It would be good to have this sold to anyone in GTA possibly. And tell me where I can get these descent systems that works fine for that price and I'll lower the price. These were my primary computers at home.

While reading this thread, I was wondering why we never get anyone that wants to sell linux boxes like this. Then I realised, while win boxes come and go, lin boxes get networked and then the owner tries to rule the world. :)

Seriously, though, I think I would jump on this if something like Debian or the like were loaded on it.

It's really not that hard to do....

Whats the difference? Linux is free & open source, all the difference is when buying a computer is 2-5 hours of installing it & configuring & tweaking it to your needs!:D
