For example a Seagate Barracuda? Is it Torx? What size

Since there is almost no chance of you reassembling the hard drive in working order, getting the exact size isn't quite as critical as with other components.

I believe many Seagate Barracudas use Torx screws (T6) but your specific model might differ. Check carefully before proceeding.

In a pinch, you might try a close-size hex key--sometimes they fit a Torx head fairly well.
