View Full Version : Kaypro II Keytronics Keyboard

Being in a keyboard fixing mode today I took apart a K-II unit with a marginal shift key and to my surprise it's totally different than all the other ones I have worked on.
Is it just that I have never run across one before? It looks on the outside like any other Kaypro keyboard but the key switches are more like a later keyboard. I wonder what the edge connectors on either end are for?

Very interesting. Thanks for posting.

That must be the Keytronic "foam & foil" capacitive switch. Can you compare the feel of the keyboard with the regular one? I bet it's slightly smoother. The keycap font looks slightly different too.
