It has a composite and coax connector... weird?

It's a TV tuner card. How they tested it without drivers would be my first question.

With those guys, I'm pretty sure "tested" means "looked at it and judged that it probably wouldn't catch fire if it were powered on".

Can't be a tuner, not enough stuff on it. The shielded box looks like an RF modulator.

Looks like an FM tuner. Antenna in on the coax and audio out on the RCA jack. :rolleyes:

DEI is/was big into the security business. Judging from all of the RF inductors on the board, I suspect it was a special-purpose receiver of some sort.

Hi
I am guessing it is a composite video to RF converter. Feed in the composite video and the RF modulator converts it for a local closed circuit TV system.
