Hi, im new in this forum, im from mexico, i got this old computer and wanted to see if is it worth something, im willing to ship to USA but i think the shipping would be rather expensive since the thing is about 20 Kg, so the computer says IBM Industrial Computer 7588, seems to have all of the guts, so what do you think. is worth selling or i should just use the case and discard everything else?

here is an album with pictures so you can see its condition

Welcome to the forums. I'm not quite sure what's inside it spec wise. I see one reference to it being a single board pentium class computer. Do you know what it used to do or what it ran operating system wise?

The unit looked like it's been tossed around, since the chassis looked bent and we all know IBM industrial boxes are built like tanks...

yeah i got from a reciclyng center, just ready to be scraped so i wasnt trated gently before i rescued it, the bent part seems to an addon to handle it easily so nothing really important, but still has some scuffs in the sides

here some more pictures, now of the bent part, the inside and the boot screen

Basically you have a server or workstation that saw action from the early 90's through the early 2000's. may not have the original motherboard, RAM or hard drive. may have run AIX originally. Very possibly this computer was in a rack with other same model servers in a small factory or business. It is a common 90's multi-purpose IBM rack server.
