Hi,

I have a Video 7 VGA card like this one:

It was working fine on my Enhanced Graphics display (in EGA mode), but I would like to use it on a modern VGA display. I don't know what the switch settings are, I found a few similar looking cards eg:

http://museum.ttrk.ee/th99/v/U-Z/52859.htm

but this is for a different version of the card.

Has anyone got this setup working please?

Regards,
John

That is a photo that I took of my card, and so I can inform you of the VGA and EGA settings for it.
Looking into the bracket end of the card, with the switch bank on the right:

VGA (15 pin) = UP, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP
EGA (9 pin) = DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP

Many thanks, the VGA settings worked fine. I did have this card working with an IBM Enhanced Color Display (EGA), and the settings were:

UP UP UP UP DOWN UP

I think the first three switches in UP set 'auto detect monitor', but obviously it didn't work with my modern VGA display.

John

If you need it, I have the manual for that card.

If you are willing to scan it, I will add it to the Video Seven manuals at http://www.minuszerodegrees.net/manuals.htm#Video%20Seven
