I picked this up recently. I've been collecting keyboards for use in various projects.. but I was wondering if anyone knew what this was intended for, and if it is ASCII? I know Archer produced keyboard replacements for specific computers.. Commodore, Coleco, etc. But cannot find any reference as to the uses for this one.

This is an Oric Atmos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oric#Oric_Atmos) keyboard.

Gotta love this place! Ask a question, and almost always someone somewhere has the answer.

I figured as much.. couldn't quite place it but I didn't think Archer made keyboards strictly for project use. Interesting. Thanks freaktmp! I wonder how hard it'd be to mod it for other use.

I found one on eBay a few months ago, although it didn't come in the Radio Shack package. The keyboards were probably dumped onto the surplus market after Oric went out of business, just like how surplus TI-99/4A keyboards were plentiful for many years after TI stopped making computers.

Wow, I didn't know that you could get those keyboards still.
I wonder how hard it would be to get it working on my Oric-1?
