Hi,

I upgraded my SPARCstation IPC to a 170MHz SPARCstation 5 using a Cycle 5-IP upgrade board I found. Now I know this is not really vintage, but at least its rare/obscure enough to be interesting to me :-) The board works fine and reports itself as

SPARCstation 5, No Keyboard
ROM Rev. 2.15, 224 MB memory installed, Serial #26288.
Ethernet address 0:60:4e:0:66:b0, Host ID: 800066b0.

From the boot message it looks like any other SPARCstation 5, except for the non-SUN ethernet address. But this is a board built to replace the IPC's and fits the lunchbox perfectly. It has one bank of 8 RAM slots accepting the 4MB IPC memory modules (these must be installed!), and 6 slots for the SPARCstation 5 style modules. My board comes without the graphics option installed, but it does have a DB25 female connector where the 13W3 connector should be. I would like to know what the jumpers on this board are for and there is also an unused header (J11) that is neither the floppy nor the SCSI connector.

Does anyone have or know where to find docs / datasheets for this Cycle 5-IP board?

Thanks!
