Well, it pays to keep looking on ebay for the odd item here and there. Vintage stuff gets posted in other areas all the time.

Got the best offer on a Voyetra V-4001 intelligent MPU-401 compatible 8-bit card. Let's just say it was significantly less than the $100 AU asking price. :)

Brand new too!

So happy I can complete my vintage gaming setup with this card!

Good for you. Did you confirm it is 100% intelligent Roland MPU-401 compatible?

There is one for sale in the UK right now: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/111383449098.

I have tested it with a number of games, and it worked perfectly for all that I tried.

There's a very good chance that it is fully compatible.

If someone needs a pinout of the external adapter, I would be happy to provide pictures of the internals of it.

I may end up throwing it into my latest addition: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/321431719761?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I was surprised I was able to get it so low, and will be the last of my acquired systems for awhile. I now have a Tandy 8088, Tandy 286, GW 2000-386, AST All-in-one 486, Pentium 200 MMX clone (with an original 3dfx 1st gen branded card), and Pentium 3 500 clone system (with a Geforce 256 - the original one that I have very rarely ever seen).

Interesting. Nice line up BTW! :)
