There is a beautiful book entitled "Digital Retro" by Gordon Laing. Although the book is not a detailed technical report on data, it is a beautiful collection of pictures of vintage computers. It is a pleasure to watch.
You know, when I read about a computer here at the forum I try to recall how that machine looks, not only the main CPU but the the boards inside, the peripherals,... I miss many times some picture along the text.
After all, what do you like most, a message with or without pictures ?

On this forum there are lots of computer collectors, and I am pretty positive, all them have a digital camera.
Why not to collect *just pictures* of vintage computers in a web site ?

I really liked "Core Memory (http://www.amazon.com/Core-Memory-Visual-Vintage-Computers/dp/0811854426)" by John Alderman (photographs by Mark Richards (http://www.markrichardsphotography.com/core-memory-the-art-book-of-computers/photos-pi_25.html)).
