Hello,

I was cleaning out my IIc the other day and noticed a socket in the bottom-right corner of the motherboard. I've looked it up and read that some sort of card existed that upgraded the RAM to a full Megabyte. Has anyone actually seen one of these before?

Also, I've heard that there exists a mockingboard specifically built for the IIc. Does anyone have any info on this either?

Thanks! :p

The 1 meg expansions were common.

Back in the mid-to-late 80s I had a Mockingboard for the //c. It was an external box with built-in speaker and headphone jack that plugged into the back of the //c. It did not use the //c internal expansion.

I mostly used the Mockingboard with Music Construction Set but there were also compatible games. I vaguely recall being frustrated that a lot of software for the regular Mockingboard was not compatible with my //c Mockingboard.

I wish I still had it :)
