I have Italian keyboard, so I want to use it's layout.
The only problem is, that I don't know how to acces 3rd character.

I tried Alt, Shift+Alt, Ctrl+Alt, etc.
Ctrl gave me "^\" when I used it with buton ">", "<" and third character "\".
It's standard IBM clicky keyboard from UK factory.

you are using Italian mapping, yes? KEYBIT.COM?

On enhanced keyboard I can get third by pressing AltGr, but no idea about 83-key.. sorry :(

I use now 'keyb it'. Keyb.com with parameter 'it' from DOS 3.30.
I'll try that keybit.com, that you send me later.

DOS 3.1 manual says...

Non-US English keyboards have some keys with characters used by programmers. To use these characters press and hold the Ctrl and Alt keys and press the appropiate character key.

You can get accented characters through the use of "dead keys", that is, keys that do not produce chatacters unless they are used in combination with another key. To "build" an accented character, press and relaase the accent key and then press the appropiate letter key. To use the accent charactger by itself, press the accent key and then press the space bar.

Okay, that's it.

Thanks, I have tried Alt+Ctrl, but I might miss something on the screen.
