Hi guys.
I've been trying to put NetBSD on this beast for a while but...
1. I need SMS dusk image, and i don't seem to be able to download it from IBM website. I beg anyone to send it to me if they have it...
2. NetBSD won't start neither from floppy or cdrom. Actually AIX is happily runninng OUTSIDE OF THE WORLD. 4.1.5 is just too old to have SSH etc.

Thanks in advance,
Jack

Please, does anyone have an SMS floppy image?
I'm really lost, all of IBM's official resources have vanished!

Hi Jack, should be sms107.dd, you can find it here (https://lost-contact.mit.edu/afs/pdc.kth.se/rs_aix43/usr/ibm/43p/43p_109dir).
Also, you can find the latest firmware revision (beta, apparently) on the official IBM FTP (ftp://ftp.boulder.ibm.com/rs6000/firmware/7248-43p/).

Kind regards,
Gabriele

I ran Solaris on a 43P for an experiment. It was a little strange see a Sun operating system running on the IBM workstation.

Hi! Just came across this thread!
I know that feel! I recently got NextStep running on my SparcStation 5 and... wow! It's strange! It really looks and feels better than Solaris' standard CDE environment. I hope i'll get some good stuff on that!
