There's a 1985 Sony PVM Monitor at a store nearby for 50$ or less, and I wanted to know if it would be useful for older computer games and game consoles. Could I easily read the text on the games, or no?
Thanks!

Yes, as long as the picture tube is in good shape -- which is should be, if it's a Trinitron and wasn't kept on 24/7 during its service life.

HP-86B system shown with a Sony PVM-1351Q 13-inch Trinitron color monitor.

A 9-inch Sony PVM monitor might work just as well.

I've a 20" Sony PVM. If you can find one with a tube in good shape, they are GREAT for retro gaming, especially if you RGB-mod your consoles.
