The Virtual Sector Generator (VSG) discussed in the "5.25 Hard Sector Floppies" thread is now available to ship in kit or assembled form. More information about the final version of the board, its capabilities and limitations are on my website at http://deramp.com/vsg.htm. The board can also be ordered and paid for there.

Despite the web page and on-line ordering, please keep in mind this is truly just a hobby and an effort to contribute to fellow computing enthusiasts. The goal is to hopefully one day recoup what I've spent on this project so that my wife can't complain :)

Built up my VSG last night. Tonight I'll hopefully have time to test it on my SOL-20 + N* DD controller.
Wish me luck

Worked first time!
I used Dave's NST program and Corey's patched stub for SOL-20, and transferred over some .NSI images I’d previously made.

Seems more stable compared to the HSFE I was previously using.

Great! Thanks everyone. Another rewarding retro experience.

Neat! Just bought one for use with my single-density North Star controller. I'd been meaning to design something like this myself.
