Price is too high for the condition it is in. It's rare and it's in good condition, but that is a NM price he's asking. Also, for that price, a plain white sleeve would be more appropriate than a Broderbund sleeve, since that just confuses things (it wasn't distributed by Broderbund).

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Yeah... I don't blame guys asking top dollar for an item for a bit to see if they get any lucky bites, however it does bode ill for the hobby overall, as that listing and it's over-inflated price, whether sold or not, hangs around for quite awhile for others to find, then the price just keeps inflating artificially...

Though with that said, I guess if someone buys it, then it's not really inflated but actual.

Just makes collecting difficult as time marches on :)

This was true a while ago, but a few years ago it became possible to search for Sold listings only where you could see what price things actually fetched. So any seller still claiming high asking prices based on UNSOLD auctions is a moron and should be educated.

Price was likely based off the last auction from 2011 that went for $1500. I would not expect this one to go for $2K since 'best offer' is listed as an option.

Where's the emoticon for "shakes head in disbelief"?
