Hi everyone. I've just assembled a z80 sbc based on Grant Searle's design (zx80nut.) and am using a 128MB flash card to store CP/M on. I have succesfully installed the CP/M BIOS and the DOWNLOAD.COM program as per Grant's brilliant guide here: http://searle.hostei.com/grant/cpm/index.html

and all works fine. However, I am having a constant problem with downloading application files onto the flash card. I am using PUTTY as my Terminal. The process of installing appoications in the flash card involves pasting a hex file into the terminal window which contains the program or programs one wishes to install. The program looks like it is installing but then stops with an error i.e:

I then have to do a hard reset to get back onto CP/M bios.
Anyone have any experience with this? (zx80nut...?? ) or know what might be the problem?

Panic over. Problem solved.
Tried using Hyperterminal instead of PUTTY.
All working now EXCEPT it doesn't like downloading more than one file at once.
I now have a nice working system based on Grant's Z80 CP/m breadboard machine. The PCB was designed by Alan Pollard.

and here's a screenshot of Hyperterminal showing CP/M running and the files I've downloaded to drive A:
( I have 16 8MB drives!!! ) F***ing crazy!!!

I wonder why PUTTY had trouble.

I wonder why PUTTY had trouble.

Just a guess... check to see if PuTTY was sending CR LF instead of just CR at the end of every line.

Anybody an idea where to buy this nice Z80 CP/M Board from A. Pollard?
I found nothing in eBay and Google ...
